Q: How Safe is ebanc Online Banking and Bill Pay?

A: With our industry leading, online banking security features you are more secure than ever.

As your financial institution we are concerned with your financial security and personal well-being. Protecting your personal account information and preventing unauthorized access to your accounts is our highest priority.

We are committed to providing you with the most advanced, industry-leading security and safety enhancements to protect your personal information and to provide you with peace of mind and confidence when using our Online Banking, Cash Management and Bill Pay applications.

In addition to encryption, advanced firewall and intrusion technologies, rigorous security and compliance audits, and user ID and password protection procedures, we are now utilizing real-time, multi-factor authentication—the use of more than a user name and password to gain access to an online account.

In selecting our advanced security approach, Onebanc’s objective was to deliver a solution that is not only technologically advanced, but convenient, customer friendly and capable of addressing all of your security concerns now and into the future.

Our comprehensive online security system, much of it behind the scenes, prevents would-be thieves and fraudsters from using stolen login credentials by requiring a second form of authentication. This allows all customers to know that is it safe to provide their login credentials.

Many institutions do not go beyond User Authentication, which is how we identify you when you attempt to log in to our Online Banking services. This simple but effective procedure enables us to absolutely verify that you, and not someone else trying to access your account, are the authorized user for the account. However, with the increasing frequency and rising sophistication of phishing, spoofing and spyware attacks, we believe that it has become equally important that you be able to confidently identify us.

Phishing scams, which attempt to steal sensitive information such as user names and passwords, typically use fake Web pages “spoofed” to look like legitimate sites. Spyware is malicious software that gets surreptitiously installed on a personal computer and attempts to spy on a users actions to gather personal and password information.

That is why our log in, real-time, security process includes Onebanc Validation—how you verify that you are entering our legitimate Onebac.com website. We want you to have absolute confidence that you are not at a fake or “spoofed” onebanc.com website and that it is absolutely safe to enter your personal information. This new authentication enables you to feel secure in the knowledge that you are conducting your financial and banking business on the Onebanc website and not some clever counterfeit.
